So how hard is it to use peel and sticks. Here are some hints:
Wash wall and make sure it is dried out. For newly painted walls let paint "thouroughly dry" for 10 to 15 days before to putting on decals. Even if new paint seems dry, it may continue to need to settle and thoroughly cure. Peel and Stick Wall Decals are not suggested on "Orange Peel" textured walls, over cinder blocks, very uneven and permeable surfaces, wallpaper or fragile surfaces.
Wall stickers are OK to use on tile as long as the surface is thoroughly clean and completely free of moisture during application. Make certain the design element does not overlap grout area as water could leak under and compromise the adhesive.
Apply onto shower walls, provided that they are placed firmly onto the surface area so water can't reach under the sticker. Once placed, RoomMates won't move even if sprayed by shower.
Vinyl wall decals can't be placed in a dishwater or microwave and they shouldn't be placed on rugs, fabrics and any other textiles. Textile fibers may cling to the adhesive and damage the merchandise. Also, never put at the base or inside the tub. Water could filter underneath the peel and stick too easily and would damage the adhesive.
When using, make sure you begin from one side (for the border) or the top (for the appliques) of each element. Keep the other parts of the element away from the wall/surface. Slowly go straight down over the product with your hand and smooth the element onto surface (and press the bubbles out as you go). Once put on you ought to be able to move any excess bubbles out by pressing/smoothing them out of the element. If the difficulty persists (this would only occur with the giant decals), you can punch a very small (invisible to the eye) hole with a pin to drive the air out.
In all, it is always best to test Wall Decor in an inconspicuous area. If the surface is uneven, operation could be seriously reduced. Make sure surface is clean of dust and dirt or you may damage the adhesive and damage the item.
