With a fun face painting design, your kids can enjoy being tigers, princesses or vampires for the day. If you want out-of-the-ordinary results use other materials besides the basic paint. This article will show you some information about body glitter and jewelry and how to use them to boost your face painting design.
All That Glitters
Here's how glitter can add a new twist to your face painting design:
-New dimension - the sheen created by glitter gives your finished product a rounded effect.
- More interesting - glitter can be used to emphasize a certain spot on the face such as the nose or the eyes.
- Adds a magical touch - glitter is perfect for fantastical themes like fairy and dragon designs.

- Loose glitter - can be applied and works best while the skin is moist with water or wet with paint. It can come in a variety of colors, which can be metallic or iridescent. - Reusable - skin jewelry have kinds that can be put on, taken off and then applied again.
- Very Versatile - skin jewelry is best loved for its versatility and the fact that it can come in a variety of shapes, colors, textures and styles.
Expensive materials are not really necessary to achieve a beautiful face painting design. Where can i find simple face painting designs of animals?
I have been asked to set up a face painting booth at an animal sactuary and i just wanted some quick and simple designs.
Cat face dog face, tiger face, butterfly wings over eyes with the body on the nose, hearts, stars, moons, rainbows, skull face (might be more popular with boys), pirate's eye patch, parrot face with their nose painted to look like a beak, dinosaur or lizard face,..........basically animal faces and simple geometric shapes (could even use a simple stencil in foam - check hobby stores) to make them faster - the foam would be more comfortable next to most people's skin than cardboard or plastic.
Maybe not the pirate's eye patch at an animal shelter - but there might be animal outline stencils - lizard on one cheek, yellow sun on forehead, and something like a rock or flower on the other.
To make almost any animal - paint the whole face the back ground (say white), paint the nose (black?), and put an irregular black spot or two around the face (spotted dog) with the markings from nose to mouth and around the mouth to look like a dog's muzzle.
